How Star DP Design House Works
First meeting is a paid-for consultation. This consultation cost goes towards your package price.
These meetings usually last between 2-3 hours and we generally cover a lot of ground- everything from floor planning,
space planning, identifying your personal style, and budget expectations are all covered during this meeting.
This phase is where we help the client visualize the overall feel and flow of the finished space, with inspirational
images of rooms and details we want to incorporate into each area. This allows for everyone to be
on the same page and set expectations so we can start the detailed designs with a strong direction.
Progressing from the approved concepts, we will present our floor plans, elevations, concepts, and/or renderings to illustrate
the vision. Tangible samples are presented so clients can touch and feel finishes, fabrics, and stones. Depending on the scope
and size of the home, we might break this up into multiple meetings so as to not overwhelm with too many decisions.
During this stage, all approved elements will be priced out and presented to the client, along with notations of product
lead times. If certain items are priced higher than anticipated, we will price a similar item as an alternate option.
We will then present a fully itemized breakdown of costs in line with the agreed budget.
With all designs planned out and finalized, we can get to the installation part of the job. During this portion, our talented
subcontractors will help bring the vision to life in a timely manner. If you have a renovation project, we make occasional
visits to ensure that the construction process respects the design choices that were discussed.
